Pan-American College Fund Inc. and its affiliates, (“Pan-Am Fund”, “we”, “us” and “our”) are committed to guarding your privacy and the protection of your information. We actively maintain the security of our servers where your information is stored. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on strategydriven.com or any other website owned, operated, licensed, or controlled by Pan-Am Fund, and any associated software, website, web widgets, feeds and applications for third-party websites and services, and any other mobile or web services or applications owned, controlled, or offered by Pan-Am Fund (collectively, the “Service”).
What is Personal Information?
Personal information is information that specifically identifies an individual, such as a name, address, telephone number, email address, or other account number, and information about that individual’s activities when directly linked to that person, such as information about his or her use of the Service. Personal information also includes demographic information, such as date of birth, gender, geographic location, and preferences when such information is linked to other personal information that identifies you. Personal information does not include “aggregate” information. Aggregate information is data we collect about a group or category of products, services or customers, from which individual customer identities have been removed. In other words, information about how you use a service may be collected and combined with information about how others use the same service. Aggregate data helps us and our third party affiliates understand trends and our users’ needs so that we can better consider new features or otherwise tailor the Service for users like you.
Pan-Am Fund also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Pan-Am Fund does not use IP addresses to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.
Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It
We collect personal information in a number of ways when you visit the Service. For example, we collect personal information when you: (1) register and set up an account, (2) participate in a Pan-Am Fund service, (3) interact on our forums or networking sites or (4) contact us by email for any reason. When you visit the Service, some information is also automatically collected, such as your computer’s or mobile device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring website, and the time and date of your visit and interactions with the Service. We treat this information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the identifying information mentioned above. Furthermore, if you make any purchases through the Service, billing and credit card information may be required. All such credit card transactions are fully encrypted and your billing and credit card information is collected and stored by us or a trusted third party. Any third party credit card vendor will be prohibited from using this information for any purpose other than storing the credit card.
While most of the information we collect is provided voluntarily by you, some of the information we collect may be collected automatically by use of a “cookie.” Cookies are small text files that reside on your computer and identify you as a unique user. Cookies allow us to, among other things, measure activity on our website and to personalize your experience with the Service. For instance, cookies may enable us to remember your viewing preferences without requiring you to re-type a user name and password. Cookies may also allow us to monitor your use of a service or track your status when ordering products from us. If you choose, you can set your browser to reject cookies or you can manually delete individual or all of the cookies on your computer by following your browser’s help file directions. However, if your browser is set to reject cookies or you manually delete cookies, you may have some trouble accessing and using some of the pages and features on our Service.
Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
Protecting children’s privacy is especially important to us. For that reason, we never knowingly collect or maintain information from those we know are children under 13. If we discover we have received any information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we have any information from or about anyone under 13, please notify us at Privacy@PanAmFund.org. No part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
Using and Sharing of Your Information
We use the information that we collect to better understand how visitors use our website, to complete a contact or request, to provide the Service, to better understand your needs, to provide to Pan-Am Fund marketing, to improve our products and services, and to contact you.
Pan-Am Fund discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Pan-Am Fund’s behalf or to provide services available through Pan-Am Fund, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Pan-Am Fund website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
We are committed to protecting your personal information, and will not disclose your personal information except as set forth herein. We may share your information with subcontractors that provide us with services. These services may include, among other things, helping us provide the Pan-Am Fund services that you request, helping to create or maintain our databases, helping to research and analyze the people who request services or information from us, helping to provide marketing or solicitation materials for our products or services, and/or helping to process payment card information. You may choose to submit information as part of a service or online community offered by Pan-Am Fund. Any information you choose to post, including personally identifiable information, may be available generally to the public, or to other members of the course or online community.
If you are a registered user of a Pan-Am Fund website and have supplied your email address, Pan-Am Fund may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Pan-Am Fund and our products. We primarily use our blog to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you have consented to marketing, you may opt out later. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
Pan-Am Fund will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, Pan-Am Fund discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, if you give permission to have your information shared, or when Pan-Am Fund believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Pan-Am Fund, third parties, or the public at large. Information about our users, including personal information, may be disclosed or transferred as part of, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets or acquisition.
If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Pan-Am Fund takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Information
We rely on one or more of the following processing conditions:
- our legitimate interests in the effective delivery of information and services to you;
- explicit consent that you have given;
- legal obligations.
Access to and Control of Personal Information
We give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and to view, correct or remove your personal information.
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all your personal information, please follow the instructions at the end of this policy.
If you want to view, correct or remove your personal information, some information may be accessed and changed or removed online or by contacting us at: Privacy@PanAmFund.org. If you have received unwanted, unsolicited email sent via this system or purporting to be sent via this system, please forward a copy of that email with your comments to Privacy@PanAmFund.org. We will promptly take action.
Pan-Am Fund user accounts can be edited by following these steps:
- Visit the login page of the Pan-Am Fund website accessible from “Website Login” link at the top of every webpage.
- Hover over your username in the upper right hand corner of the webpages. From the drop-down menu, click the “Edit My Profile” link.
- Edit your profile as desired and click “Update Profile” at the bottom of the webpage to save the changes.
Retention of Personal Information
We will retain your personal information on our systems only for as long as we need to for Pan-Am Fund’s success. We keep contact information (such as mailing list information) until a user unsubscribes or requests that we delete that information from our live systems. If you choose to unsubscribe from a mailing list, we may keep certain limited information about you so that we may honor your request.
Pan-Am Fund will not delete personal data from logs or records necessary to the operation, development, or archives of Pan-Am Fund.
When deletion is requested or otherwise required, we will anonymize the data of data subjects and/or remove their information from publicly accessible sites if the deletion of data would break essential systems or damage the logs or records necessary to the operation, development, or archival records of Pan-Am Fund.
Rights in Relation to Your Information
You may have certain rights under data protection law in relation to the personal information we hold about you. In particular, you may have a right to:
- request a copy of personal information we hold about you;
- ask that we update the personal information we hold about you, or independently correct such personal information that you think is incorrect or incomplete;
- ask that we delete personal information that we hold about you from live systems, or restrict the way in which we use such personal information (for information on deletion from archives, see the “Retention of personal information” section);
- object to our processing of your personal information; and/or
- withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information (to the extent such processing is based on consent and consent is the only permissible basis for processing).

We have put into place reasonable security measures in an effort to protect personal information while it is under our control. Your account information is accessible online only through the use of a password. To protect the confidentiality of personal information, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses of the Service by any person using your password. Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused.
Pan-Am Fund may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. However, Pan-Am Fund does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described in this policy.
We use AWStats and Google Analytics to analyze usage and traffic to this website. The information we collect is used to learn how our clients and users can be met with more useful, timely, and appropriate design and content.
Additionally, information about how you use our website is collected automatically using “cookies”. Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.
Affiliated Sites, Linked Sites and Advertisements
We expect our third party affiliates to respect the privacy of our users. Be aware, however, that third parties and other content providers accessible through our website, may have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. For example, during your visit to our site you may link to or view as part of a frame on a Pan-Am Fund webpage certain content that is actually created or hosted by a third party.
Also, through the Pan-Am Fund website, you may be introduced to or be able to access information, websites, features, contests or sweepstakes offered by other parties. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of such third parties. You should check the applicable privacy policies of those third parties when providing information on a feature or page operated by a third party.
We do not control the use of this technology by third parties or the resulting information, and are not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties.
You should also be aware that if you voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information in posted comments, that information can be viewed publicly and can be collected and used by third parties without our knowledge and may result in unsolicited messages from other individuals or third parties. Such activities are beyond our control and this policy.
